Internship at The Aerospace Corporation
Overview
In Summer 2025, I interned at The Aerospace Corporation as a Software Engineering Intern.
Key responsibilities:
- Refactored a 5,000+ line codebase including five disparate languages into a unified, modular architecture to support a real-time algorithm, enhancing maintainability, scalability, and performance
- Created multiple new pages and overhauled authentication scheme for Flask web application
- Improved string comparison algorithm performance by 500x, leading to significantly reduced load times for users
- Wrote 50-page research paper about AI tool impacts on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
